During pregnancy our amazing body goes through many changes internally and posturally. Spinal curves change and adjust, organs have to move around as our body grows to house a baby. If we can be in the most ideal alignment for our own self, our architecture can provide a great place for the baby to develop and grow. The pregnant body needs space, strength, flexibility and breath awareness.
At Bridgeham we have a winning combination to ensure the body adjusts in the best way possible. Pregnancy Osteopathy treatments ensure the structure adjusts as is needed and Pilates 1:1 sessions and movement awareness sessions encourage you to know you can make these adjustments and allow your body to change for the impending arrival of your new bundle of joy.
1:1 Pilates sessions ensure you move well through the relevant trimesters. We can look at supporting your birthing plan choices whilst preparing your body for finding the best birthing positions.
Hypno-birthing classes and antenatal support from a fully qualified Midwife to ensure you feel confident and knowledgeable about the impending birth as-well as post natal care. Once your baby has been born we love to meet you both and hear how the birthing journey went.
Meet with our osteopaths specialised in treating mums and newborns to ensure your body and your baby is on the best journey. Depending on your baby's delivery will depend on how they adjust to living on land as opposed to their water filled environment when they were in utero. Osteopaths can help with their movement development, reflexive movement patterning along with supporting growth changes.
Some Mums have benefitted from a chat with the acupuncturist to balance and boost energy levels and our nutritionist during and post pregnancy and have thoroughly enjoyed a well-deserved massage as most mums tend to!
With Pilates & Garuda machine sessions post delivery we then plan through the best exercise selection for you whether you are returning to your body from a natural exit delivery or c-section arrival! Newborns are tiring for sure...so we recommend Grandma or Dad or a friend to accompany you so your baby is looked after by them in reception or in the machine studio whilst you get to move in your 1:1 experience and learn how to reconnect with yourself!
We’d love to work with you through this amazing time. Do contact us if you have any questions on firstname.lastname@example.org and your query can be forwarded to the relevant practitioner.
