Naturopathic Nutrition is a complementary approach to wellness and vitality. The focus is on using the healing power of nature to achieve optimum health alongside any medical treatment the client may be having. A naturopath will work with the client to educate them on healthy food and lifestyle choices. Whilst a naturopathic nutritional therapist will address the immediate symptoms a client is experiencing in order to alleviate them, they will also try to identify and resolve the underlying causes of the condition. Naturopaths treat each person as an individual, tailoring every treatment plan for that person and working in a holistic way to restore balance and equilibrium.
Anyone who wishes to improve his or her health! Whilst many people seek nutritional therapy as a way to address specific medical conditions or manage their weight, others want to boost their immune system, improve their long-term health, maximise sporting performance, increase energy levels, balance hormones or improve sleep.
Before your consultation we will send you a questionnaire and a three day food diary to complete and return before your appointment. This is a starting point from which we will explore more deeply. Your initial consultation will last 1 hour. First you will be asked about your health goals. There will be questions about your past and current health, any medications or medical treatment you are currently having, supplements you take, sleep, energy and so forth. To help you achieve your aims you will be asked to keep an accurate diary of everything you eat and drink over a few days. This will help to identify what nutrients you may not be getting enough of, others which may be affecting your health in a negative way and where we can quickly and easily improve your diet.
When you come for your consultation, we will build up a more detailed picture of your health and lifestyle from your questionnaire and food diary and with this picture our nutritionist will put together a treatment plan for you to follow. You will receive a synopsis of the plan, followed by an email that may have some additional information and guidance. In some cases, dietary supplements/nutraceuticals (vitamins, minerals, etc.) may be recommended. Occasionally some diagnostic tests may be needed to ensure the treatment plan is targeted accurately e.g. stool, urine or blood tests.
"Following a recommendation from a friend I have visited the Bridgeham Clinic for my first ever osteopath treatment today with Rey. I could not recommend highly enough! The facility is immaculate and has plenty of onsite parking. All staff a very friendly and professional, there is a lovely feel about the place. Rey was professional and was able to share so much knowledge and info. I have had lower back troubles for years and have left...after my first session....pain free! Thank you so much to Rey and the Bridgeham Clinic"
"I can’t recommend The Bridgeham Clinic enough. You are made to feel so welcome as soon as you walk through the door. After suffering from migraines and neck pain for many years. I have now been pain free since December thanks to Dan (osteopath) and Selena (acupuncture) for working their magic.”
"I have spent the last 20 years dealing with neck pain after a car accident. I have been using deep heat and taking co-codimol all this time. My husband won a voucher for your clinic for a treatment at the Ifield May Fayre. I made the appointment and met Ray, well what more can I say, had two sessions with him and I am pain free. He made me feel so relaxed and he has made my life so much happier. Thank you Rey.”
"Osteopath Michael was amazing today! He's the nicest guy & can highly recommend him! I was so nervous, and he was totally calm and relaxed and talked me through everything, he was so thorough & ended up re-aligning my whole body! Fantastic!"
"Went for my first appointment since lockdown and felt really safe with all Bridgeham’s brilliant precautionary measures"
"Went for the first time after a recommendation. The receptionist may be the loveliest person I've encountered this month! So welcoming and made me the best cup of tea ever. The facilities are nice and clean with ample parking. My appointment was with Clemence (osteo) and she managed to loosen up my lower back that has been tight and painful (at times seizing up). She was super knowledgeable and warm and friendly.”
