March 2020 Newsletter

We would like to thank all of you, our wonderful patients and clients for your continued commitment and support in booking the outstanding services that all of our amazing practitioners provide you with here at 1 Oak Cottage, County Oak Way, Bridgeham Clinic.

You will all have noticed that Bridgeham is no longer just about Jo and Trev!

Over the past three years that we have been trading here at Oak Cottage you will have witnessed an increase in practitioners and admin angels. There are now 30 of us in our terrific team.

Jo and Trev are still completely passionate about their continuing educational development outside of the clinic as well as in their “Broken to Brilliant and Beyond” mentoring programmes happening in house within the team. We feel sure you’d love to hear more about the banter and fun they have in the in-house education workshops for sure! Trevor has even been likened to “Yoda”… sharing his magnificent mastery of the true integration of osteopathy and Pilates and well being services for the benefit of the patient, whilst up skilling his team with the many golden nuggets of his invaluable experience. (Answers on a postcard for who Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi might be!)

Jo is beavering away challenging herself to use the new skills learnt from the Pranic healing level 1 and level 2 courses she has recently attended. Fitting in mentoring workshops, writing a chapter in a book and preparing to teach some education workshops with Trev along with juggling the kids, family life and St Margaret’s church and choir commitments mean they are still as busy as they are grateful!

Lent this year sees Jo adding something in rather than going without! The aim is to add in the Twin Hearts meditation practice as a daily commitment to kick start into a regular ongoing daily meditation and gratitude practice. If you wish to learn more then do ask about it. Trev says he will be giving up his hair and his waistline!!!

Patient numbers are growing steadily and we thank each of you for recommending our services to your friends and families. Please talk with your practitioner on how you can accrue credit in your Bridgeham account by sharing the Refer a friend cards, it’s a win win situation. We are incredibly grateful to you for spreading the Bridgeham love so our team can continue to expand and we get to share our valuable experience and knowledge with more keen and inspirational practitioners.

We are in the throws of introducing Bridgeham’s services to our friendly Manor Royal neighbours meaning the Bridgeham team will now betaking our fabulous services out on the road and into Manor Royal Business District. If you would like to find out how your business, office or team can benefit then do contact pm@bridgeham.com and share with us the best HR contact details.

We will be contributing further to Crawley Open House by taking a team of practitioners on the Crawley Open House charity golf day in June. Thank you all for making a difference to them with contributing to our collections and funds raised here at the clinic. Watch this space for Crawley Open house special requests.

We want to take this opportunity to give you notice of a couple of fee structure changes that will be happening in March 2020 and April 2020 regarding Trevor, Jo and Gordon’s fees along with an increase in prices for the group class passes. All these details along with our updated t’s and c’s can be found on our fabulous website.

Please make sure you speak with us about which treatments you can have with the various practitioners. It’s important to us that you can find out whether the drop-in classes, 5, 10 or 20 Class Pass is best suited to you. We want you to know if a drop in 1:1 machine session or a 5 pack will bring you the transformational results you are seeking from your investment in your health and well being with us here at Bridgeham.

Please do talk to us to find out what your winning practitioner and treatment combinations will be so we can support you all the way as you journey along Bridgeham’s Broken to Brilliant and Beyond pathway.

With thanks and blessings to you all at this time of Lent,

Jo and Trev x

Team & Class Updates

Team

We'd like to introduce you to Eleanor Oxford who will be joining the Pilates team here at Bridgeham!

Here's a little more about her and her background:

"Having always had a passion for health and well being, the birth of my second daughter triggered the leap into a Pilates career. This saw me leave my London career in Fashion Education and the commute behind. I subsequently gained my Level 3 Matwork Pilates qualification from Future Fit.

I firmly believe that Pilates is for everyone and is indeed beneficial to everyone, so much so that it should be in the national school curriculum. The impact of focusing the mind through breath leading to concentration and connection with the body is amazing. Pilates to me is a very nurturing form of exercise. I offer a mindful Pilates programme, emphasising the connection of movement with the breath.

With continued curiosity and a passion for being able to help people on their wellness journey I have since taken a Reformer qualification at The Garuda Studio, North London. I have a keen interest in the Garuda method developed by James D’ Silva and am also influenced by the Pilates of Elizabeth Larkham and Madeline Black, to name a few.

I have total respect for the body and the role of the core in overall postural health. I am energetic and I like to think a personable teacher.  I look forward to meeting the clients at the Bridgeham Clinic and working with them in the machine and movement studio."

We're also delighted to announce that the lovely osteopath Kamilla will be returning to Bridgeham after her maternity leave from Tuesday 7th April 2020.

Kamilla will be working on Tuesday mornings from 8.00am til 12.30pm  and Wednesday afternoon/evenings from 2pm til 8.00pm.

Welcome back Kamilla, your diary is open already and we hope you bring some fab pics of baby Jacob to share with everyone!

Nutrition and Hydration Week

11th-17th March

Nutrition and Hydration Week has taken place every March since 2012.

Its purpose is to bring people together to create energy, focus and fun in order to highlight and educate people on the value of food and drink in maintaining health and well being in health and social care.

Education is at the heart of what we do at Bridgeham and our recent Healthy Lifestyle course was a great example of this!

"In the 4 week course, my BMI went from the overweight range to the healthy weight range. My very high cholesterol lowered to a healthy range. I gained more energy and a better mood. There are simple changes that made a big difference to my physical and mental health. Unbelievable value for money and a great support group. I now have an understanding of nutrition so I can carry this lifestyle forward."

If you'd like to know more about how you too can experience these positive changes and you wish to look at your health check numbers, what are you waiting for?

Learn what you need to do to make the best improvements to your nutrition, your hydration levels, cholesterol, weight and movement health by booking your £50.00 Health check with Birgitta to find out what your numbers are today!
