Garuda takes its name from an Indian mythological sacred bird that can change shape. Combining the spirituality, pranayama & asana practice of yoga, the core strength and focus of pilates and the balletic grace of dance

Machine Studio Sessions (55 minutes)

In our Machine Studio we have a Clinical Reformer, Trapeze Table, Combo Chair, Ladder Barrel, Allegro and two brand new Garuda machines. Other Pilates equipment like foam rollers and gym balls, rotating discs and wobble boards to name but a few also feature.

These machine sessions are great for improving your technique, easing your movement discomforts, rehabilitating from surgery, helping you to achieve your goal of running marathons, easing pregnancy discomforts & preparing for labour and returning to your body after delivery of your baby.

Movement Studio Classes (55 minutes)

In our upstairs movement studio there are various group movement classes on offer. We currently offer:

  • Pilates classes
  • Garuda classes
  • Kids pilates & posture awareness classes

Getting Pilates fit helps to return to the gym safely. You get to "be" in your body and enjoy that "being in the moment".

Garuda starts where Pilates ends

Using the specially designed Garuda apparatus, mat or other complementary equipment you’ll learn to control your body through precise stretches and actions, placing an emphasis on smooth, seamless movements without any stress on joints.
